There is very good trunk mounted bike rack that will work with your 2017 Honda Civic hatchback, the Yakima FullBack.

This is a high-quality bike rack that features anti-sway cradles with heavy-duty padding and ratcheting straps to secure your bikes at three different points to keep your bikes from making contact with one another. The rack has arms which adjust and fold down for when you are not using it and the arms are made of steel to ensure durability.
