Do Trailer Hitches for 2004 Lincoln Aviator Require Factory Hitch be Installed
Question:
Going to pick up a 2004 Lincoln Aviator AWD at the end of the month. Want a hitch for it asap. The seller claims it doesnt have a hitch on it currently which I thought all AWD models did. I see the 2 options on here are meant to fit below the factory hitch. If it in fact does not have a hitch, will these still work? Thanks!!

Expert Reply:
The factory hitch of a 2004 Lincoln Aviator is built into the rear portion of the frame/bumper beam. It's not something that could easily be removed and would be necessary to install one of our hitches that is designed for the vehicle like the Draw Tite # 75132.
I'd be willing to bet the vehicle has a hitch but is covered by a bumper cover.
