Should Brake Controller in 2010 Ford F-150 be Powered by Vehicle Battery

Question:

I bought an ebrake hitch and connector. Just wondering if i need to run the power all the way to the battery or if i can just hook it up in the rear. How do i tell the difference between what i need?

Sounds like you just bought a brake controller for your 2010 Ford F-150 and are looking for a place to instal it. You'll want to install it near the front driver seat so that it's accessible when you are driving, and you'll also want to power it directly from the vehicle battery as brake controllers draw quite a bit of amperage which might cause an issue if you tied into a different circuit not rated for it.
