Universal Wiring Adapter for a Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller Installed on a 2004 Chevy Suburban
Question:
The Tekonsha Voyager has 4 wires coming off the back, no connector. I have a 2004 Suburban and noticed that wiring adapter 3015-P for the Tekonsha Prodigy in the 2004 Suburban installation video also has 4 similarly colored wires. Can I use that adapter for the Voyager controller? If so, can I do so by cutting the black connector off, and soldering the blue-to-blue, white-to-white, red-to-red, black-to-black wires on the back of the Voyager?

Expert Reply:
Part # 3015-P, comes with a plug on each end, one for the brake controller on specific Tekonsha models and one for the vehicle. Since the Tekonsha Voyager does not have the plug on the back, you can use part # 3015-S. One end has a plug for your vehicle and the other end has loose wires for you to splice into the Voyager. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can assist you with.
