Does 12 Volt Power Circuit of Trailer 7-Way Have Ability to Charge Dead Battery

Question:

Hi, I am asking about the wires sizes going from the Power Fuse Box where I have the High Power Relay with a 30 amp fuse and other relays and fuses for towing. Is this going to just supply a trickle charge or can I really charge my trailer batteries with this. This is for a 2012 Expedition and I am hearing the newer ones 2015 after have smaller wires that only allow for a trickle charge. The orange wire seems pretty big in the picture but.... Thanks

The 12 volt power circuit of any vehicle's 7-way can only put a trickle charge on a trailer battery to maintain it. If you have a dead trailer battery you'd need to use a charger like the NOCO Genius Battery Charger and Maintainer # 329-GENIUS5 to get it where it needs to be and then let your trailer wiring keep it maintained.
