Blue Ox Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2018 Whitehawk Travel Trailer
Question:
I recently bought a 2018 GMC Savanna Van and I am Towing a 2018 Whitehawk travel trailer. The tongue weight is 900 lbs. Trailer is 9,000 lbs full. Van is 3500 series with factory installed extra towing weight up to 11,000 lbs. Plus extra springs. I was looking at this hitch system and wondered if I needed more or less, extra parts. Basically I need help. Is there someone I can call?

If your tongue weight is 900 lbs loaded (including the weight of any cargo in the van behind the rear axle), the Blue Ox Sway Pro kit part # BXW1500 would be rated too high as it has a tongue weight range of 1,000 to 1,500 lbs.
For a lower rated system we have the Blue Ox kit part # BXW1000 which instead has a tongue weight range of 750 to 1,000 lbs. For a hitch ball you'd then want the part # 63840 to go along with this.
