For a towing vehicle like your 2006 Toyota Sequoia you want to select the ball mount that allows your hitched trailer to remain level. A level trailer will tow better than one that is too low or too high at the coupler.
I linked an article that explains how to measure to figure out the right ball mount, but another way to go is to use a kit with multiple parts, such as # 989900 or an adjustable ball mount like # C45900 or # 3371802225.
