Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring that Breakaway Battery Seems to Power Running Lights
Question:
Hello, i have a 24ft utility trailer, and here recently my side lights on my LED tail lights stay lit even when not connected to a vehicle. If i take the LED light off the trailer being ungrounded it goes away, or if i take the negative side off the breakaway battery the lights go off, what would cause this and what would be a fix?

You must have a short between the power wire of your breakaway battery and the running light circuit of your trailer based on what you listed. It's hard to say exactly where the problem is but what you'll need to do is go over the wiring of the trailer and look for any obvious shorts like cut, exposed wire and fix as needed.
