Solution for Power Wire of Brake Controller that Is Not Active with Vehicle Factory Wiring

Question:

Ive been trying to install a brake controller on a 2012 xterra, and im not getting any power to the brake controller itself. I have a constant 12v of brake power at the 7 pin connector, but now power to the brake controller harness under the driver seat. I have checked and replaced all associated relays and fuses, but no change. I read a few answers where you guys suggested switching the blue and black wires at the 7 pin, but I dont think that is my issue considering I get power to the brakes at the 7 pin but no power to the brake controller. I used #3050-p, #118263, #118525, and a Relianceinch brake controller. Please Help...

The easiest solutoin would be to cut the black wire of your brake controller out of the wiring that it uses to attach to your vehicle and run it directly to the positive battery power post with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 to bypass the wiring that you are having an issue with.
