Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2016 Ford F-150 Towing Pintle Trailer

Question:

Ive been reading between Weight Distribution Systems and Air Bag suspension systems...If Im towing a 10,000 lb trailer, which my 2016 4x4 F150 is rated to pull, how can I eliminate the sag while utilizing a Pintle Hitch? I see that WDS are used for Ball Hitch set ups, while Air Bag suspensions arent recommended while towing. What are the options to level out the combination and ensure a safe ride?

Weight distribution systems are the most ideal setup for reducing sag while towing a trailer since they do so by distributing some of the tongue weight up to the front axle of the vehicle. But in your sitation you can't run one since you are towing with a pintle setup.

So an air bag system will work to remove the sag. It's not that these kits aren't recommended when towing it's just that when available a WD system will be the best option. So for your 2016 Ford you'd want the Firestone kit part # F2582 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. I attached and install video for you ot check out as well.

For a compressor kit that will make inflating and maintaining air pressure in your bags easy the Firestone kit part # F2158 would be a great option too.
