Availability of Trailer Hitch for 1995 Chevy Suburban
Question:
I had a guy give me a hitch that he said would fit my 95 Suburban, which it wasnt remotely close. Only numbers I can find are stamped on the top and bottom of the 2 collar. They are 4342 07 on the top and 4488 07 on the bottom. It also has Valley V5 stamped in the metal. It is Valley brand with 5000 lb Max gross weight as load carrying or 10,000 lb Max gross weight with a load distributing hitch. Could you possibly tell me what it fits? Thank you!

Valley Industries is no longer in business and I was unable to locate any product information in my research with the numbers you found stamped into the hitch. I was not able to find what vehicles this hitch might have been designed to fit.
As you have discovered, trailer hitches are custom-fit for specific year and model vehicles. We do have a nice selection of hitches that are confirmed to fit your 1995 Chevy Suburban.
I recommend looking at the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # C13029. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and it has a towing weight capacity of 6,000 pounds.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can check out. All of the necessary hardware is included.
