I have a slider unit and have read that I won't need the adapter kit for the slider. Is that correct?

What you need is the Elite underbed fifth wheel rail kit part # RP30126 which is confirmed as a fit for your 2013 Ford F-350 and is the style of rail kit your Signature Series hitch needs. You will also need the # RP58419 which is an adapter for the feet of your hitch so they fit the Elite rails.
