Can a 5th Wheel Slider be Used to Tow a Trailer in the Rear Maneuvering Postion

Is is safe to tow a 5th Wheel RV with the glider in the manuever position?

Expert Reply:
The purpose of a slider is to make it easier to maneuver a trailer into parking situations, when the vehicle is at a very low speed. A slider is not to be used in the rearward position while towing the trailer. The slider was not designed for that and it would be unsafe to use it that way.
The weight of your trailer would be too far back on your truck bed to allow you to be able to safely maneuver and brake your trailer in the maneuver position.
