Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for Truck with 5-1/2 foot Bed

Question:

I have a 2010 Ford F-150 SuperCrew with 5.5foot bed. My Cougar 28SGS camper has rounded front corners for improved turning. Will the Anderson Ultimate AM3200 hitch fit this combination?

For a truck bed length of 5-1/2 feet I would not recommend the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System # AM3200 it wouldn't have nearly enough clearance for your trailer to make a tight turn. If you have a set of fifth wheel rails installed in your 2010 Ford F-150 already there is only one hitch solution that's going to work well for you.

You'll want the Demco Hijacker 13k Autoslide Fifth Wheel Hitch # DM8550040. This is the only hitch that will give you the needed 22-1/2 inches of clearance to make tight turns.
