How to Use Both a Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier on the Same 2 Inch Hitch

Question:

I would like to use the MPG544 dual receiver with a Curt tray in the bottom receiver. But I then need a riser of some sort in the top receiver to provide another 2inch receiver a few feet above the tray to use my tray bike rack. Does such a riser exist?

I do have an option for you but we do not have anything that can attach to the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver part # MPG544 and move the connection point for the 2nd receiver tube multiple feet in the air. Instead, I recommend using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-8 which unlike the Malone adapter, will not reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent. This adapter has a distance of 10-1/4" between the two hitch pin holes (see photo).
