Locating Brake Stoplight Switch Circuit to Install Brake Controller on 2004 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I am installing a Teklonsah Prodigy and an ETBC7 in a 04 Honda Odyssey. I have all the wiring in place but I am unsure as to where to connect the RED wire to the back of the brake pedal This is the red wire that goes from the brake pedal to the adapter that plugs into the Tekonsah prodigy connector clip. Any help or documentation is appreciated.

The wire you are looking for will be coming out of the brake stoplight switch, which can be found at the top of the brake pedal. The stoplight switch will have several wires exiting it. According to what I've researched online, the wire you're looking for is white and black, but I'd recommend confirming that for yourself using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Probe the insulation of each wire exiting the switch until you locate the wire that lights the tester only when the brake pedal is pressed.
We have an installation video showing a brake controller being installed on a 2009 Odyssey. The procedure for your vehicle will be similar. If you fast forward to the 8:45 mark, you can see the stoplight switch being located. To view the video, click on the provided link.
