Load Range C Trailer Tire Recommendation for Size 175/80R13 with Higher Speed Rating

Question:

Are the load rated D tires any better than C rated? Do they take the heat better or last longer ? Are they less likely to come apart when a blow out happens? So C or D in a radial and both 81mph speed rating? Any difference other than the ride? Also can you order them with metal vale stems?

Load Range differences really come down weight capacity. If you are under the weight capacity of a Load Range C tire there isn't much advantage to go with a Load Range D. It won't really hurt, but it really won't gain you much either. Biggest difference you'd notice is the higher Load Range will require more PSI.

The Provider tire is the only brand we have that has the 81 mph speed rating like the part # TTWTRTM1758013C which is a LR C in the size ST175/80R13. We have metal valve stems like the # AM20906 separately which would be a great option.
