Can B&W Companion Hitch on Long Bed Truck be Used with Reese Sidewinder/Revolution

Question:

Dodge installed this hitch yesterday to my truck and I informed them that I would be pulling a 2018 flagstaff classic super lite with the reese revolution king pin. Your site says this hitch is not compatable with the reese revolution. Not sure what to do now since I am picking the 5th wheel up on 3/30/18

If your 2018 Ram 3500 has the long bed (8 feet), you should be able to simply lock out the Revolution King Pin on your new trailer. The reason the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W isn't compatible with the Sidewinder/Revolution is simply because it changes the pivot point of the king pin. With a long bed truck, you won't actually need this extended pivot point, so it can be simply locked out so that it does not pivot at the turret. This will make it so the only pivot point is at the hitch itself, which will allow you to use it with the B&W Companion.

Just be sure NOT to use the wedge that will likely be included with the trailer and Revolution king pin.
