Could Draw Tite Trailer Hitch for 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Tow Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with 5.7 hemi. Will this hitch securely pull a boat + trailer? Boat is Scout 145 Sportfish which is 146.

The Draw Tite hitch part # 75151 that you referenced has a capacity of 5,000 lbs total tariler weight. I looked up info on your boat and that should be more than enough as it's a smaller boat.

If you need trailer wiring you'd then want to go with the # 118381 which is a confirmed fit.

Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
