Is Hollywood Racks Sport Rider a Good Fit for 2013 Subaru Forester & Will Hatch Open w/Rack Tilted
Question:
Do you have experience with or feedback regarding this rack mounted on a 2013 Subaru Forester? Performance feedback? With two adult and two kid bikes mounted and the rack tilted would the Forester back hatch open all the way? Thanks!

We have had a lot of positive feedback on the Hollywood Racks bike racks, including # HR1400Z, in general, not necessarily from owners of a 2013 Subaru Forester though. But even friends of etrailer marvel at how sturdy and well-made these racks are for the price.
With this or any traditional tilting bike rack it is unlikely that you would be able to open the rear hatch. For that I recommend two different types of bike racks.
First the Inno Tire Hold # INH142. The Inno tilts away with the bikes loaded and gives you at least partial access to your hatch. Take a look at the video to see what you think.
Second, take a look at the Yakima FullSwing # Y02435. It swings off to the side, with you bikes still loaded, so that it is out of the way of your hatch. I attached a video of this rack as well.
For either of the above bike racks your Forester will need to have a 2 inch trailer hitch. If it doesn't already you can use # 75650.
