Troubleshooting 4-Way on 2010 Ford F-150 that is Working but the 7-Way is Not

Question:

2010 F150 w factory tow package. The 4-way works fine, the 7-way doesnt. I tested with multimeter and sure enough, I get 12V to the 4-way, but nothing coming through the 7-way. I dont see any wiring issues at the hitch. Are there different fuses for the 4-way and 7-way that would affect having nothing at the 7-way?

The trailer lighting functions on the 7-Way would be getting the same signals as the 4-Way so I am guessing that your 7-Way has been damaged or needs to be cleaned.

I recommend checking your 7-Way to see if it needs to be cleaned and if it doesn't you need to replace it with the Hopkins part # HM40975 which gives you a 4-Way and a 7-Way connector.

If your trailer light functions are working just fine on your 7-Way but the other functions aren't then let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
