A Demco Hijacker autoslide fifth wheel hitch would be a great option for your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 and you would need the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6194 to mount it in your truck bed with the factory puck system (I assume you have a short bed though if you did happen to have a long bed you would need Rail Adapter # DM6206). The Demco Hijacker has a capacity of either 18,000 lbs # DM8550034 or 21,000 lbs # DM8550035; this hitch slides automatically so you no longer have to be hassled with getting out of your truck to work the sliding mechanism. It has a rotating head which is actually what creates the force that allows the hitch to slide.
The Hijacker uses a wraparound single-piece jaw for optimum contact with your king pin and has three height settings so you can tow level. Keep in mind that this hitch is not compatible with Sidewinder or Reese Revolution king pins and will require a locking plate if you have one of the following cushioned pin boxes: Glide Ride, Mor Ryde, Trailair Tri Glide, Trailair Flexair, Rota Flex, and 5th Airborne. If you do have one of those, let me know and I'd be happy to find the right locking plate for you. I've also added links to video reviews of this hitch and adapter for you to take a look at.
