Slider Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Ram 2500 Short Bed that's Easy to Remove Head Off

Hi I need a 5th wheel slider hitch for my 2018 Ram 2500 short bed. At least 15000lb I also need to be able to remove the hitch easily so I would want it to come apart. I was looking at the BandW Patriot Slider 5th Wheel Hitch. I see the head unit easily removes. My question Is that as far down as I can easily break it down for removal? What does the head unit weigh? what does the remainder weigh? Any suggestions Thanks

As far as slider hitches go the B and W Patriot Slider part # BWRVK3270 would probably be the easiest to remove the head of to make removing it a bit easier. The base will still be pretty heavy but its the only option we have that's going to be easier to take apart to make easier for install/removal.

For a rail kit confirmed as a fit for your 2018 Ram 2500 short bed you'd then want the kit part # BWRVK2602 which is a confirmed fit.
