Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
Have a 2018 honda crv 1.5 engine and. Looking for a hitch to accept a carrier to move a snow blower around. Honda says their hitch recommendation is only 1 1/4 receiver, but the carriers are all 2inch receivers. Do I install a 1 1/4 and use an adaptor or install a 2 inch receiver???? carrier I am looking at is at discount ramp

I took a look at the owner's manual for the 2018 Honda CR-V and could not find where it said a 1-1/4 inch hitch was recommended and the only reason I can think of is that a 1-1/4 inch hitch will generally have lower capacities than a 2 inch receiver but you should check your copy to see if you can find the tongue weight capacity. I recommend going with the 2 inch Draw-Tite # 76128; this hitch is a complete bolt-on installation which you can see from the video I've linked for you showing this hitch being installed on an '18 CR-V.
