Thule Roof Rack for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude with Black Plastic Side Rails

Question:

I bought the TH460 and the Thule 3142 Podium Fit Kit for my 2015 grand cherokee altitude but it does not seem to fit in my Jeep. My side roof rails are just black plastic and I believe these are designed for the Chrome side rails that the limited has. Do I have all the tools I need or did I buy the wrong set up? thanks

You have the wrong kit I'm afraid. For the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the black side rails like the Altitude has you need the following Thule parts:

For WingBar bars
Bars # TH711500
Rapid Traverse feet # TH480R
Fit kit # THKIT1656

For square bars
Bars # TH712500
Rapid Traverse feet # TH480R
Fit kit # THKIT1656

These kits do not attach to the side rails. They fit like the naked roof options.
