Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Recommendation for 2018 BMW X3

I have just been speaking with Kim P and just want confirmation that the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake controller IS compatible with the BMW factory installed trailer hitch for the 2018 BMW X3. Regards

The Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 that you referenced can be installed in your 2018 BMW X3 but you'll need to install some trailer wiring first.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 119250KIT.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
You may have to get brake signal from a light module connector under the dash that has like 70-plus pins. On older X3s it was a 76 pin connector, pin 51.
