Recommendation for Gaining 2 Inches of Ground Clearance on 5th Wheel or Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2018 Crusader M29BH that I tow with a 2014 Ram 1500. The rear end of the 5th wheel drags at times. How can i gain a few inches of clearance without creating other issues?

For your 2018 Crusader M29BH 5th wheel trailer, the easiest way to safely gain a couple inches height is to use the Dexter Over-Under Kit # K71-385-00 for 3 inch axles or # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8 inch diameter axles. This will raise your trailer at each axle by the diameter of the axle plus the spring stack height without changing anything else on your trailer. This is often referred to as flipping your axles.
You may also consider the Ultra-Fab Skid Wheels 6" Diameter - Qty 2 # UF48-979013 to allow any ground contact to deflect impact and protect your frame and bumper.
