Recommended Anti-Rattle Lock for Thule Vertex Bike Rack
Question:
Hi, Is the Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2. still the only device that can be used on a Thule vertex 2? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock, # THSTL2, is the only anti-rattle device designed to fit the Thule Vertex bike racks other than the threaded hitch bolt that comes with the bike rack. The main advantage that you add with this kit over the anti-rattle bolt that comes with the rack is the hitch lock to secure the bike rack to the trailer hitch.
If you are looking for a less expensive option to lock your bike rack to your vehicle, I recommend using a cable lock like part # TH538XT. This comes with a lock, but it can also be paired with a set of Thule's One-Key System locks so you can match the lock on the bike rack to the lock on this cable. You will just want to locate the key code on the front of the lock core on your bike's cable lock and order a set of the Thule One-Key locks with the bike rack. The locks part number will start with "TH" followed by your lock core number, # TH450200, for example.
