Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 with Short Bed
Question:
Do I really need the slider hitch for a 2018 GMC 6 1/2 ft bed with GM Puck system? I had a 2011 GMC with a Reese hitch with rails and never had to slide the hitch.

For truck beds shorter than 8 feet in length a slider is almost always needed to allow you the needed clearance to make a tight turn. So a slider hitch like the Curt # C16541 would be recommended. To install this hitch in the rails of your 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 you'd need the GM rail kit adapter part # C16023.
