Converting From 5 on 5 Bolt Pattern Hubs to 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern Hubs

Question:

I have a a trailer with two Dexter axles that are 3500 pound capacity. The hubs that came with them are 5 on 5. My wheels are 10, 5 on 4.5. Do you carry a 5 n 4.5inch hub that will work with my axles?

You need to do a little more checking to be sure but I think we have what you need. Check your bearing numbers. If you have # L68149 for your inner and # L44649 for your outer then switching to a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern is no problem at all.

If your trailer has brakes and you need hub and drum assemblies I recommend part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K if you have E-Z Lube axles or part # AKHD-545-35-K if your have standard axles.

Instead if you just need idler hubs use part # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K for the E-Z lube or part # AKIHUB-545-35-K for standard.

If you can't read the numbers on your bearings you can also measure their inner diameters. Bearing # L68149 has an inner diameter of 1.378 inches and # L44649 is 1.063 inches.

If these aren't the correct hubs let me know what you bearings numbers or measurements are and I'll see if we have something that works for you.
