Recommended Replacement Tires for 7.00-15 LT Tires on 5x8 Trailer
Question:
I currently have 7.00 - 15 LT on my 20 year old trailer. The tires look cracked all over but they never leak and run fine. How long do they last. I dont have the funds to get the same tires. Too expensive. What would it cost for 6 ply or 4 ply and would they work for a 5 - 8 trailer loaded with house garbage traveling to the dump every couple of months?

Your 7.00-15 tires are on their last leg. I don't recommend using cracked tires as they can blowout without any further notice. For a durable and cost efficient replacement, I recommend the Taskmaster ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TTWSF20515C which will fit on your current wheels. They have a 6 ply rating and have a max load of 1,820 lbs at 50 psi. They have a 2 year warranty and will serve your needs. These will fit wheels 15" x 5", 15" x 5-1/2", 15" x 6", and 15" x 6-1/2", so they will definitely fit your rims.
