Solution for Ford F-350 Where Trailer Wiring Brake Lights Work but Blinkers Do Not

Question:

At the under the hood fuses the turn signals work at the fuses but no brakes lights on just the trailer fuses. On the second set of wires going to the back of the truck the brake lights work but the brake and turn signals are separate.

There is most likely a signal converter on the trailer wiring between the fuses and the wiring connector. It sounds like it may have gone bad. I really wish we had a wiring diagram that could help you find it. But what we can do is recommend a universal trailer wiring solution like the part # 119250KIT as a way to bypass the problem. If you need to convert to a 7-way you'd then need the # 37185.
