Trailer Brake Controller Connection Port on 2016 Ram 1500
Question:
I have read the posts about the location of the port for the brake but I cannot find it on my truck. It is a 2016 Ram 1500 2wd that has the four and seven pin trailer connections but I don’t see the ports under the dash. Are all Ram trucks equipped with the port?

Yes, any version of the 2016 Ram 1500 that has a factory-installed 7-way trailer socket will also have a trailer brake controller installation port under the dash.
Often these connectors are taped up to other wiring parts or vehicle structures to keep them safe until needed. They can indeed be tough to spot. Sometimes the actual connector may be covered by protective foam which makes it that much harder to see.
If you refer to the linked video at the 3:20 mark you can see where we found the connector on the 2016 Ram 1500 used for the video.
