Parts Needed to Install Hopkins Agility Brake Controller on a 2008 Chevy Silverado with Tow Package
Question:
I want to be certain that I do not need a brake control connector with a hopkins brake control unit. Your website reads: Installation Notes: No plug is present under the dash, but the wires are already run. You only need to connect the brake control wiring with the vehicle wiring already present under the dash Does this mean I have the wiring connection already present in my 2008 Chevy Silverado with towing package? Thanks

On the 2008 Chevy Silverado, the brake controller wires are located under the dash, below the steering column, to the left of the brake pedal, held together with a white tag. The tag has the wire color/functions listed on it. They will need to be spliced into the Hopkins Brake Controller, # HM47294, as specified below unless the tag reads different:
Brake controller white to truck white
Brake controller black to truck red
Brake controller blue to truck dark blue
Brake controller red to truck light blue
I have included a link to an FAQ article on installing brake controllers for your truck that you may find useful. I have also included a link to the installation instructions for the brake controller.
