The slider units are an option for a 6 1/2 foot bed. Since you have a short bed truck you will need to go with a slider hitch to allow you the clearance to make tight turns without cab interference. The Pro Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider Dual Jaw 16,000 lbs Item # RP30051 will work for your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 6 1/2 foot bed. This fifth-wheel trailer hitch includes a square-tube slider that offers 10" of travel in your truck bed. This enables your vehicle to make normal turns during low-speed maneuvers and in narrow spaces without fear of your trailer's contacting the cab of your vehicle.
For a rail kit you would also want a custom install kit since they will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit. For that you would want the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation # RP50066-58.
