2015 Ford Explorer Sport Brake Controller Install Recommendation
Question:
Hi! Im hoping to get a little guidance. I have a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport. The guide says it comes with a tow package stanDard but the vehicle is not currently equipped with a hitch receiver or any wiring. I am looking to wire in a 7-way plug and a brake controller to tow a trailer with electronic brakes. I purchased parts 118540, 118272, 90195, and 3035-P. Will you please tell me if this should be sufficient to accomplish the install, and where the brake controller will connect under the dash? Thank you very much!

First you'd want the 7-way part # 118272 which is confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Ford Explorer Sport. With this installed you'd only need the P3 # 90195 for the brake controller and the # 3035-P for the install harness for your vehicle and you'd be set.
In the install video I attached you'll see where to find the connector to install the controller.
