Recommended Brake Controller and Wiring Harness for 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
Question:
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Im having the factory hitch put on and a 7 pin connector. I,m going to need an electronic brake controller. Im pretty sure there is a plug under the dash for it. It is a grey plug near the emergency pedal. The camper is a retro 177se and weights 3200 lbs. What electronic brake controller would you recommend. Thank You

For your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This controller is proportional meaning it will apply your trailer brakes at the same time and with the same amount of pressure as you hit the brake pedal in your Jeep. This controller has easy preset options for towing and has an LCD screen for easy diagnostic information and error reporting. There is no code deciphering with this controller.
It will easily install using the wiring harness # TK93VR. The factory harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. This will make installation plug and play.
I've attached a video of this installation to assist.
