Install Harness Recommendation for Installing Redarc Tow-Pro Elite in 2014 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
Would like to know if you can just plug in the wiring harness I think it is part #3016 for a 2014 GMC sierra 1500? My understanding is that is all you need to do with the Tekonsha P3. What about the Redarc ? Hoping to just plug and go no wiring. Thanks

You are on the right track. To install the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR in your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 will require you to use the install harness part # 3016-S which is very similar to the # 3016 except it doesn't have the Tekonsha specific connector. Instead it has just the GM connector for the trucks wiring and 4 blunt cut wires to wire to the Redarc.
You could use the # 3016 if you wanted to but you'd have to cut off the Tekonsha connector.
