Availability of Straight Spindle with 2,000 lb Capacity

Question:

Im designing a yoke, and i need a spindle to act as the pivot point for the axle. So my constraints are that it must be straight spindle with a capacity of at least 2000 lbs, what would the remaining dimensions be?

Expert Reply:

The BTR style of spindle like the part # TRU44FR has bearing surfaces that are both 1.06 inch in diameter. That's probably the closest we have to a straight spindle in the capacity of 2,200 lbs like you want.

1.00 inch for the threaded portion
1.06 for the inner bearing surface
1.06 for the outer bearing surface
1.50 for the seal inner diameter surface
