Which 2-1/2 Inch Weight Distribution Shank Has the Longest Length

Question:

I am in search of a shank to fit my 2-1/2” receiver on my 2015 Chevy 2500 HD. I’m pulling an outback 324cg and my tailgate will not fully open when attached, I’m only lacking about 1” clearance. Currently the shank I’m using is 8” from hitch pin to bolt holes, any suggestions??

I have attached a list of all the weight distribution shanks we have that will fit into the 2-1/2" receiver tube opening on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 for you. Out of these options, the Reese Titan Weight Dist Shank part # RP54977 has the longest distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the bolt hole which is 11-1/2". The rest of the weight distribution shanks we offer that fit into a 2-1/2" receiver tube opening only offer 8" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the bolt hole.

Another option we may have for you is a 5th wheel tailgate. If you need to have the tailgate lay flat while towing then you can use part # VGM-14-100 to allow for this. I have also attached a review video of both shanks and the tailgate for you.
