TracRac Ladder Rack Recommendation for 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 with Kayak Carrier

I am about to purchase all the equipment to haul four kayaks on my truck. Before I purchase everything, I would like to ensure it will work. The items below are what I have in the shopping cart. For your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 the TracRac Ladder Rack part # TH27000XTB is a confirmed fit and will work well.

The TracRac ladder rack crossbars are too large for kayak carriers but I have a solution for you. You can use the Thule Surf Pads # TH845000 to protect the hull of the kayak. These pads will fit the old Thule Xsporter bars which are similar in shape and size to the TracRac bars.

You would then just need bow and stern tie downs to secure the kayak to the TracRac bars, # TH855XT.
