Is an Adapter Needed for the Titan BrakeRite EOH Actuator on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500
Question:
I have a 2015 35foot 5th wheel trailer that I will be doing a Titan electric over hydraulic disc brake conversion on later in the month and the question to you is, will I need this pulse preventer? My truck is a 2017 Chevy 3500 dually and I have heard that on a 2017 OEM brake controller that I will NOT need this with the Titan actuator. What has your team of experts found to be true on this question?

The pulse prevent part # 5501 only applies to older trucks with an aftermarket brake controller. What I believe you are referring to is an adapter like part # T4845900 that will allow the factory integrated brake controller (ITBC) on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 to work with a Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator like part # T4813102
If this is the case then as long as the ITBC in your Silverado has an electric over hydraulic (EOH) mode built-in then you will not need an adapter. However, if the truck does not have the EOH mode which I believe it doesn't then you will in fact need to use the adapter.
