How to Add a 7-Way to a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with Existing In-Bed 7-Way
Question:
I have a 1999 2500 dodge ram. It is currently set up with wiring for a camper. It does not have a factory 7 pole plug on the bumper. Just an after market 7 pole plug in the bed of the truck. Is it possible to connect into that plug and run it to the bumper. I am looking into pulling a toyhauler with electric brakes. Any thoughts would be great.

I cannot be sure as to how the existing in-bed 7-way was wired but the easiest way to add a 7-way to the rear bumper of your 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 would be to cut off the in-bed 7-way and use part # HM40975-11998 to wire the new one to the rear bumper.
I have attached a review video of this connector for you as well.
