Will Curt and etrailer Class III Trailer Hitches Fit 2005 Ford Escape With Spare Tire Underneath?

I have a 05 ford escape limited awd which requires a full sized spare tire underneath. Will this curt 13650 and the etrailer e56AR both fit this particular set-up? Thank you

Yes, the Curt # 13650 and etrailer # e56AR will both fit your 2005 Ford Escape that has a spare tire underneath. Please keep in mind that if you already have a factory hitch the Curt # 13650 will not be a fit.

To add a 4-way to power your trailer's lights you need Wiring Harness # 118426; I've added a link to a video review and install of this part for you to take a look at. If you are going to be towing, I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise.
