How Does Transmission Fluid of 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander Route to Supplemental Cooler

Question:

Guys I want to install an additional tranny oil cooler on my outlander, but i dont know where to plug the cooler hoses on the tranny. I found some photo showing that hot fluid comes out from the drain plug on the tranny pan, but refill plug is not clear on that photo. In my guess the hot fluid come out from the bottom and cool fluid will enter from the top on the tranny, right? Outlander 2007 W6AJA

You'll actually want to use the hoses of your current transmission cooler when installing the supplemental cooler on your 2007 Mitsubish Outlander. This is a much more efficient way to install a cooler.

Basically you want the cooler to route the fluid through the factory cooler and then to the supplemental cooler like the part # D13503. This maximizes the cooling of the fluid and is the easiest way to do it.

I attached an install video for this cooler that shows it installed in a similar vehicle as yours as well to give you an idea.
