Question:

I am purchasing a 2011 Rockwood mini lite with a Hitch weight of 377 and a GVRW of 4777, I am looking for a Fastway 2-point sway control hitch. What is the correct model for that application? Thanks

In order to choose the correct weight distribution system, you will need to find the total tongue weight (TTW) of your towing setup by adding the tongue weight (TW) of both your loaded ready to tow trailer and any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.

An easy way to find this would involve using a tongue weight scale like the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale part # e99044. When choosing a weight distribution system, you will want your TTW to fall in the middle of the weight distribution's weight capacity. For example, the ideal weight distribution system for a total tongue weight of 600 lbs. is one that is rated for 400-800 lbs. of tongue weight.

As long as the TTW of your towing setup does not exceed 600 lbs, I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System part # FA94-00-0600 for round spring bars or part # FA92-00-0600 for trunnion spring bars. The trunnion spring bars are more for SUV's as they offer greater ground clearance than the round spring bars. In order to install either system you will also need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank for which I recommend part # EQ91-00-6080 for 2" or part # EQ91-00-6100 for 2-5/16".

I have attached a review/install video of this system for you as well.
