Will AL-KO 12 Inch Brake Shoes Fit Dexter 12 Inch Hub
Question:
Are Al-Ko 12” brake shoes able to fit a dexter 12” hub? They look very similar? Holes etc?

Parts sometimes are interchangeable but normally the best option is to replace "like with like" when it comes to AL-KO parts. One thing to consider that would make replacing parts easier would be to change out your brake assemblies for something more easy to find parts for or to totally replace.
For example, the Electric Trailer Self-Adjusting Brake Kit, Item # AKEBRK-7-SA, fits a 12 inch x 2 inch drum and works with 5,200-lbs to 7,000-lbs axles. These brakes are self-adjusting, fit most standard hub-and-drum assemblies (Dexter, Lippert, etc.), and fit a 5-bolt pattern. I am attaching a link to our entire selection to give you a better idea of other possibilities.
To find the right replacement, we would need the bearing numbers which are stamped into both the inner and outer bearings. If you can not find the stamped in bearing number then you can make some measurements that will give us the right bearings sizes (see attached FAQ article). With this information and your axle capacity, we will be able to find the correct replacement.
I am attaching some additional information and videos for you to check out that will help.
