Comparing Curt A16 Round Tube and Reese Square Tube Sliding 5th Wheel Hitches
Question:
Please compare the Curt A16 with the slider R16 to the Reese RP30051 with the square tube slider. Which one would you pick.
asked by: Ray S
Helpful Expert Reply:
Slider hitches with round tubes, like the Curt A16 Slider # C16521, are generally preferred to units like the Reese # RP30051 which uses square tubes that tend to have more issues with binding. The A16 also offers 2 more inches of slider travel which gives you more turning clearance. Add in the sturdier jaws and the lower price of the Curt and it is an easy recommendation.
