Recommended Transmission and Engine Cooler for 1998 GMC K1500

Question:

I have a 1998 gmc k1500 extended cab 4x4. The only tow upgrade that has been done is 3/4 ton rear leaf springs. What can I do to the engine, trans and coolant system to keep things at lower temps for towing my travel trailer? Any other information in this will be most usfull also. Thank you.

For your 1998 GMC K1500, I recommend looking at the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15903. This is a great tube-fin cooler that will keep both the engine and transmission cooler with one compact system. The unit measures 17 inches wide, 12-1/2 inches tall, and 3/4 inch deep, so you will just want to make sure you have enough room between the grille and AC condenser on your truck for it to install. This system includes the 13/16-16 sleeve nut for GM trucks.

I have attached the written installation instructions on this cooler that you can also take a look at.
