Installing a Trailer Wiring Harness on a 1995 Honda Del Sol
Question:
This part is said to fit on your website, however my car is not listed on the packaging. For all the vehicles listed in the instructions, it says to locate the vehicle connector and install the supplied T-connector. As your pictures show, there is no T-connector included in the kit. All the pictures in the instructions show an unused terminated connector taped back on the harness, and my vehicle does not have an unused terminated connector. The only way I can see to install this is to remove the Tekonsha connector and splice in to my factory wiring. The whole point of getting this kit was to avoid that. Is there another sub harness I need? Do I need to look somewhere else in the trunk for the connector? Do I need a Honda Civic harness since all search engines have the Del Sol as a sub model of the Civic?

I wasn't able to look up your order number using the supplied email address but the correct wiring harness for your 1995 Honda Del Sol is part # 118336 for Tekonsha or part # 43105 for Hopkins. I called Tekonsha and Hopkins to confirm this. Both of these harnesses are a direct plug and play install that will not require you to cut or splice any wires.
Most of the time, it is just simply a case of not being able to find the connector. Hopkins suggested that you look in the back cargo area near the spare tire or behind the plastic panels on the drivers side. If you absolutely cannot find the connector then your only other option would be to hardwire a harness like part # HM48895.
